Embracing Hope 5K Run/Walk

Please join us on Sunday August 18, 2019 for the Embracing Hope 5K Run/Walk in Buffalo, New York. The race features a beautiful and scenic two loop course around Delaware Park. Embrace Unity Inc. is a non-profit (501c3) organization whose mission is to raise awareness of the Opiate Epidemic in our communities and to raise funds to sponsor the Embracing Hope Scholarship for Women. The scholarship intends to further women’s education through learning a trade or a certificate program while in recovery.

START/FINISH
The race will take place entirely within Delaware Park using USATF Certified Course #NY11064JG (VIEW MAP) The start line is located near the Indian Hunter Statue and the finish line will be setup just west of the Police Radio Building. A water station will be setup near the midpoint and then bottled water will be provided to all runners at the end of the race.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until the night before the race. Race day registration and packet pickup will take place at our tent located at the finish from 7:00 am right up until the start of the race at 8:30am. Register by 8/10/19 to be guaranteed to receive one of our official Embracing Hope 5K t-shirts. Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

If you prefer to mail in your registration, please download both the race waiver and appropriate USATF liability waiver below and mail to the address shown. You must complete and mail BOTH waivers to the address shown on the waiver along with your check payable to iRunWNY.

POST RACE CELEBRATION

Join us after the race for fresh fruit, snacks, and beverages. There will be music and of course the awards ceremony at 9:45am.

PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking on both sides of the park throughout the morning.

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers along with a $50 Visa gift card. Age group medals will be given to the top three male and female runners in each of the following age groups:

19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69. 70 and older

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
